SECURED funding and led widening project for the old 431 bridge project.
INSTALLED storm shelters and sirens.
CONSTRUCTED road to eliminate deadly Ryland Pike and Highway 72 intersection.
LED path with Madison County Superintendent to stop Monrovia High School and return the money to all county schools.
SUPPLEMENTED and supported all volunteer fire departments in District 3.
BUILT new Recreation Centers in Gurley and New Hope.
BUILT new baseball and softball fields at Central School.
MEMBER of the Madison County Commission with the highest bond rating in county history.
PUT $192,000 back in the annual budget with the first reorganization in district history.
COMPLETED numerous road projects including improving the most road miles in any four year period.


Craig Hill is a native of Madison County and is married to Karen Hillis Hill.  The couple has two sons, Hudson and Cason, and resides in the New Hope community.  Craig is the son of the late New Hope Mayor Nolan and Linda Hill and has one brother, Harrel.  Craig and Karen are members of the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ.

Commissioner Hill is a lifelong resident of Madison County and spent his entire career serving the citizens of District 3.  He spent 3 terms on the New Hope City Council and is a retired educator after spending 25 years at Madison County High School as an Algebra teacher, varsity boys basketball coach and administrator.

Commissioner Hill is a certified commissioner through the Association of County Commissions of Alabama and has served as President and Vice-President of the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) and on the TARCOG board for 15 years. He is an active member of the Madison County Republican Party.  Craig holds a B.A in Math from Athens State University and a M.A. in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University.  

During his tenure as District Three Commissioner, Craig has incorporated many safety improvements into the enhancement of the quality of life for all residents of District 3.  Commissioner Hill’s efforts are making Madison County a better place to work, live and play.  Commissioner Hill currently serves on the commission with the highest bond rating in Madison County history.
