Commissioner Craig Hill has been transforming Madison County's District Three since his inauguration in 2016. A certified commissioner through the Association of County Commissioners of Alabama, Hill has dedicated himself to enhancing the lives of residents in the district and beyond. He garnered endorsements from key organizations, including the Huntsville Madison County Home Builders Association, Huntsville Area Association of Realtors, Committee of 100 and received the Outstanding Elected Official Award from the Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District.

 

With a lifelong commitment to his community, Hill has served on the New Hope City Council for three terms and spent 25 years at Madison County High School as an Algebra teacher and administrator. His educational background includes a B.A. in Mathematics and an M.A. in Administration. Under his vision, District Three has seen the implementation of safety improvements, critical infrastructure projects, and partnerships with organizations like ALDOT for safety studies and enhancements.

 

Commissioner Hill's experience extends to building new Recreation Centers, increasing funding for volunteer fire departments, and contributing significantly to community playground projects. He has initiated various school improvement projects and established strong relationships with local government bodies. His leadership has led the Madison County Commission to achieve the highest bond rating in its history, with a notable reorganization injecting $192,000 back into the annual budget.

 

Hill's financial acumen is further highlighted by his success in securing over a million dollars in grant funding without imposing tax increases on residents.
